MOvie player - The_KMPlayer_1435 and smplayer-0.6.8-win32 (this one plays dvd iso no problemo which is why i rank it equally with thekmplayer) with gomplayer as a backup

Firefox browser latest version

Office 2007, no point avoiding the ribbon.  Just learn it, its not that hard to use vs office 03.  My mum managed to do it after a lot of protest (I convinced her that she could not have both office 2003 and 2007 on same machine) cos the course she is doing needs access 2007, but she likes excel 2003. Besides, u can use Classic_Menu_for_Office_2 007_v4.xx

Google Chrome browser latest version (I do not like how others can see my last  visited pages so what I do is run firefox for boring bullshit surfing and use the portable chrome for my personal surfing)  for research using google, I use this installed version of chrome since typing in words into address bar is much easier than putting in firefox's little search box.

Photorar (2009) to batch compress images.  and the compression and results are the best I have seen in such a small utility.  No need to fiddle around with photoshop cs4 lol.

 Emurasoft.EmEditor.Professional.v8.06.x86.Win2kXP2k3Vista2k8.Incl.Keygen-CRD - this is the best text editor imo.  I can "wash" text copied from webpages to remove formatting similar to notepad but it has extra conversion tools not available in note/wordpad. Then I paste into word 2007 :)

Mcafee virusscan enterprise 8.7 sp1 incl antispyware and a few patches.  I know it is not the best, but I have it at work and use it at home since it is better than nothing and better than those other resource hogging security appz plus you can install as perpetual update to make it last forever and you can download superdat off mcafee website so you can always update when you want whereever you want

note I do not use a software firewall because if anything happens I have total backup so I just reinstall windows and windows 7 is very quick to install relative to xp or vista :)

I should point  out that I rarely burn dvds these days since a 1.5TB portable hdd only costs AUD 180 from www.shoppingsquare.com.au so to avoid the stacks of dvds i had accumulated in the past, I just use external hdd.  I do have a stack of external hdd though lol.

ultraiso latest version (it has a virtual drive so no need for daemon tools unless you install gamez) so I have the office 2007 iso on my usb and just install ultraiso on new computer and then run the iso using ultraiso to install office.

 Gadwin.PrintScreen.Professional.v4.5.1905. - for basic screenprinting use the free version, I just put this version in because it is the pro versoin.  Free versoin is actually all you need and you can screenprint any rectangle you choose from your screen.  No need for hypersnapdx.

Got one more week and i have to get back to work :(  Hopefully by then ill have moved into my new apartment.  This month i spent so much i barely have enuff to eat :(

Yesterday I spent all day lying on mattresses/beds so i can determine what suits me best, tell u what, beds are so fucking expensive so are sofas! anyway i bought a sleepmaker inspiration bed (king single size) for 1000 bucks and a swivel office chair (the one that can go up and down) it was really comfy and i got it for 89 bucks on special :)

TEll u what i u do decide to buy pc speakers, the logitech z680 5.1 speakers is great value for money, the subwoofer gives u the pumping bass to make your walls shake!  I didnt get 7.1 speakers cos basically there isnt anything that will support 7.1 output anyway.  I got audigy 2 platinum pro but in retrospect, i could have got any audigy 2 cos the gay box well lets say its still in its original packaging after i put it back. unless u are musician or composer or listen via headphones, go get the gamer version insteead.  As for graphics card, i got best of the best.  Now if u want to buy one too, u will need a big new power supply. i got 550w antec server psu cos i got like 6 250gb hdd ad well as other shit that needs a lot of power.  I got artic cooler for my amd chip and my pc is sooo quiet u dont even know its on even though there are like fans all the way down the front and on top and on the side!  if you boot from cold, the gforce 6800 ultra graphics card will make big noise but it quietens down after the first 2 or 3 seconds. btw the 6800 ultra by leadtek is sli ready so if i ever have spare money and want some out of the ordinary 3dmark score, i can just buy one when its on special.

i have all my sata 250gb (4 of them) put in a raid so the pc treats it as a gigantic 1tb hdd.  now that was a silly decision cos only 4 partitions can be created so it fucked my plans up when i discorvered that after already moving a couple of gb of stuff.  anyway not to worry ill defrag my old pc when i move all stuff off a partition at a time and format the partitions and then move stuff back and maybe repartition the new hdd cos i made the appz and gamez iso partition too small :( intitially i wanted to create a separate 100gb one for gamez but then found the gay 4 partition limitiation so the rest of space i put for music vidz. 

ok for the compro tv tuner card, its da bomb, i can record tv shows but in australia the gay free to air shows are so boring and i dl all my tv anyway still if there is something special i can record it :)

xp media center edition 2005 is pretty kewl but its a pity theres no way i can play all media files eg vidz in a folder i have to go click on 1 file at a time, not good if u have lots of porno in split files and u are jerking off.. wait little brother, i need to get the remote lol

Meanwhile back in lalaland, ive been busting my ballz downloading the aeon flux 2.5gb torrent, its been like 2 weeks and i got 1gb at 1.5k/s to 3.1k/s average so the dream is still alive... its the best animation so ill have it in my lovely new partition for friends and family :)  its interesting to know that even though i capped my azureus upload to 1k/s (cos my dl is only 1.5k/s so im not giving more to those leechers lol), i uplodaed a full cd already (share ratio is 0.7)

 The logitech mx1000 laser mouse is da bomb, its got horizontal and vertical scrolling lots of useful buttons and playing half life 2 with it was seamless.  highly recommended.  some old games might not support it though eg tombraider angel of darkness pc didnt support it.

when i move ill connect to fast internet, i just cant wait cos i keep missing out on the end of some rars cos ftp dies.

if u read my other page, i managed to network my old pc windows server 2003 to my new pc xp mce2005.  my old pc is the internet pc and my new one is the storage pc...the steps in summary:

1 setup a home network to share files and internet on my new xp it will then create a floppy disk (thank god i bought a usb floppy drive with my new pc cos all my pc do not have a floppy drive lol)

2 setup home network on windows server 2003 using the floppy created

3 create a user called "storage" and give password so the xp pc can connect to my w2k3 server

4 for all the w2k3 server folder/partitions i want to share with my xp pc, i rightclick, properties and then go sharing and then uncheck the share this folder and click apply then reclick it.  Now this is the step that wasted 5 hours of my time as i couldnt figure out how to get rid of the $ sign after the partition letter.  if there is $ sign that means other pc cannot view that folder/partition.  this simple step fixes that.

5 again in properties permissions, add the user "storage" to have all access to each folder/partition u want to share and thats it, maybe u need to reboot and then click on my network places and then locate your network name (ps i used "home" for my network for easy to remember) and it will detect the home network and then u can see all the folders/parittions u shared and voila u have a lan hee hee

i got a week left of my holidays i would go on a trip but i cant afford it :( ill have to save up for a few months before i can afford a sony dvd handycam. without handycam theres no point for me going on trip. its like when i was in pc shop, there was this stupid girl who came into shop and cried cos her digital camera storage broke down or something nad she needed it for her honeymoon.  ive been meaning to do those gay photoshop cs tutorials and read the ebooks but i think ill first get the handycam and take some photos so i have a goal ie ill be doing something with the photos as opposed to reading every single page and not applying it.

I bought a Panasonic MC-E983 Vacuum Cleaner today for 240 AUD. its pretty nice and quiet and has a filter so it doesnt make the stinky smell that some cheapo vacuums give out :)  I highly recomend it if u need a vacuum

I still havent got my Sony dvd handycam cos apart from me having no spare $$$, i cant decide if i want the 653 or the 702 as the 702 is only 100 bucks more.  but 653 can fit more pictures/video on the dvd cos the quality isnt as high.  ON the other hand, 702 has 2"7 screen but 653 only has 2"5 screen.  What to do.....

is a very nice freeware internet explorer addon which makes a tabbed interface, remembers your last visited tabs and opens it the next time u launch the browser... amongst many other features. 

note firefox might be secure etc but it wont work on my pc so i deem firefox to be gay! its like mozilla and netscape beta all work but firefox is fucked, i uninstalled and did the works with registry and still wont work.  it sux donkeyballz.

1. Now it is possible to change WinRAR's look by installing
interface themes. Theme files are available on

Theme files are RAR archives, just open them in WinRAR to install.
You can manage installed themes using "Options/Themes" menu.

Zip64 format extension. Zip64 was introduced to remove
original ZIP format limitations on archived file size.

3. Added support of multivolume (multipart) CAB archives.

4. New options in "Advanced" part of archiving dialog:

a) "Delete archive" options allow to delete extracted archives;

"Check authenticity information" option controls processing
of authenticity information in RAR archives.

5. "Wait if other WinRAR copies are active" option
in "Advanced" parts of archiving and extraction dialogs.

If enabled, it waits while other WinRAR copies are creating,
modifying or unpacking an archive and starts the operation
only when other WinRAR tasks are complete. If you are going
to perform several archiving or decompressing tasks, such queued
execution can help to reduce the amount of disk seeks and improve
overall performance.

6. SFX modules:

a) SFX modules are not compressed by UPX anymore, so they are
larger now. UPX compression caused numerous false alerts
by antivirus software. If you wish to use compressed modules,
you can get UPX from http://upx.sourceforge.net" title="http://upx.sourceforge.net" target="_blank"http://upx.sourceforge.net and compress
*.sfx files in WinRAR folder;

The default SFX logo can be replaced by a custom bitmap file.
You can do it either with "Load SFX logo from the file" option
in "Text and icon" part of "Advanced SFX options" dialog
or using -iimg command line switch. Note that -iimg is not
supported by console RAR, only GUI WinRAR recognizes it.
This option is not supported in Windows 95, 98 and Me.
Also you cannot use it if you compressed SFX modules by UPX.

c) It is possible to specify user defined SFX icons larger than
32x32 and with any color depth. Like the previous item,
this improvement is valid only if SFX modules are not compressed
by UPX and your operating system is not Windows 9x/Me;

d) DOS.SFX module moved to RAR/DOS32 distributive. If you need
to create DOS SFX archives using WinRAR, just copy DOS.SFX
to WinRAR folder.

7. "Wizard" command allows to specify a password when creating
or updating an archive.

8. Previous WinRAR versions unpacked the complete archive contents
if the user pressed Enter or double clicked on *.exe, *.htm and
*.html files. Now it is possible to define file masks to unpack
everything for. Such masks can be entered on the "Viewer" page
of the "Settings" dialog. For example, if you wish to unpack only
a file under the cursor when you double click on archived HTML file,
remove "*.htm *.html" from this field.

9. Additional file name extensions for archive formats supported
by WinRAR can be specified in the "User defined archive extensions"
field on the "Integration" page of the "Settings" dialog. For example,
if you have files with ".001" extension, which are in RAR format,
you can enter "001" here to associate WinRAR with such files.

10. New "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color" option
in "File list" page of "Settings" dialog.

11. New "Lock toolbars" option in "General" page of "Settings" dialog
and in the menu displayed after clicking the right mouse button
on the toolbar. "Lock toolbars" precents accidental toolbar moving
or resizing.

12. "Repair" and "Extract" commands replace invalid characters
(colon, question mark, etc.) by underscore also in file names
in ZIP archives. Previously WinRAR did it only for RAR archives.

13. New -n and -n@ switches set additional include
filters, so only files matching the mask will be processed.

14. New -id[c,d,p,q] switch. Additionally to previously available
-idp switch (disable percentage indicator), switches -idc, -idd
and -idq instruct the console RAR to hide the copyright message,
"Done" message and all information messages.

15. Switch -e+ allows to specify file include attributes mask.
For example, you can use -e+h switch to compress only hidden files.

16. Switch -ver[n] supports the optional 'n' parameter also when
archiving. It limits the maximum number of file versions.

17. If the short name of an already existing file is equal to the long
name of an unpacking file, WinRAR changes the short name of the already
existing file before unpacking. In such situation previous versions
prompted to overwrite the existing file even though long file names
were not equal.

18. Security changes:

a) WinRAR shell does not allow to run *.pif files. Archived PIF
files is one of typical ways for computer viruses to distribute;

WinRAR shell does not allow to run files having 5 or more
continuous spaces in the name. For example, "calc.txt .exe".
Viruses frequently add such spaces to confuse users and hide
the real extension. WinRAR shell removes these continuous spaces
except first and last also when displaying names of such files
in the file list.

19. In Windows XP WinRAR highlights the sorted column in the file list
using the different color, like it is done in Windows Explorer.

-Rename your BACKUP war3.exe (the real one) to war3.exe
>>If you didnt save a backup, just rename the war3.org to war3.exe 
-Download daemon-tools (cd-drive virtual/emulator), from www.daemon-tools.cc  
-Extract war3alliso.zip, and mount the warcraft III.mds image with daemon-tools using securom option
Finally, Run war3.exe (the real one), click battle.net, it will download the patch, then it will patch it automaticly, and there you go.
OF course u have to have your valid serial or u cant use bnet...

I have tested it and it works beautifully :)
